Hello October

Hello there!

This is my Hello October spread dedicated and inspired by Halloween!

Although, here in Greece we don’t celebrate Halloween (we have a “similar” fest with costumes around February), I so like the theme and its spookiness! So I decided that all my pages in October will be with the orange colour and some silhouettes! So, orange is the new theme colour(not black)! Also, someone told me if you feel down or unhappy, make sure you see enough “orange” throughout the day. Will October be a happy month?

What I used!

For the monthly spread, this vertical layout is a must for me! I really like it! In the gallery bellow, you can see all my spreads so far, including my famous sleep tracker, my diet tracker and some bujo tips of how I use the Tim Holtz Distress stain fluid dyes to make those straight lines. I really like those fluids, the colours are so vibrant and they dry quickly! The ones I am using are: “Spiced Marmalade”- a vibrant orange and “Barn Door”-a sweet pink/red. My Scribbles that Matter journal has a thicker page (which I absolutely love) and there is no bleeding. Since the colour is light there is no ghosting effect either. I suppose, that if the colour was darker, there would be some sort of ghosting…

For my diet tracker, I am using the Fitness printable stickers, which I have printed in a matt sticker paper. I wanted to make the page prettier (dieting is never nice for me, bring me some chocolate please!), so the best way for this is to add some flair with some stickers!!!

Do you have a Halloween themed month as well? Let me know in the comments!!!

All the best
Marianna

[…] *Update* I used fluid dye in my October’s pages. This dye, when used in LT1917 made the paper curled. I had no problem with the STM journal. There was no bleeding and no ghosting. I guess the latter one was because the colours I used were light. I am not sure if there will be any ghosting in darker fluid dyes. See my spreads here! […]
